Altura Suites: Affordable Apartments in Santiago

By on April 17, 2016

Arriving in a new city is daunting at the best of times. Arriving in a new city after 20 too many hours in transit and public transporting your way in from the airport is close to painful.

After our long journey to Santiago, Mum and I were very much ready to have a cozy space to call our own – and Altura Suites in Santiago’s city centre was the perfect place to call our own for our few days in Chile’s bustling capital.

The price I had booked online only days before seemed far too good to be true. At the price we booked I half expected there to be some horrible catch…

17848167But the only catch involved in our stay was a wonderfully priced comfortable apartment to temporarily call our own.

Our room had a cozy bedroom and bathroom – separate to a small living area where we had our own fully-furnished kitchen, breakfast bar and living area. The staff were friendly and the wifi was quick.

The apartments are perfectly located, surrounded by cafes, restaurants and museums and steps away from the financial/historic area. There is a huge supermarket right on the first floor of the building.

I would say that the apartment was in the best spot for exploring the main touristic sights of Santiago while still enjoying the bohemian vibe and safeness of Lastarria – Bellas Artes neighborhoods. Anything that might be needed we were able to find in the nearby financial & commercial area, from fast food chains to banks. The subway is only 1 block away, where you are connected to the entire city.

I would highly recommend Altura Suites to anyone visiting Santiago.
