Camino de Santiago Day 24: Sarria to Ventas de Naron

By on January 30, 2017

Day 24. And closer to Santiago than ever before.

Screen Shot 2017-01-29 at 8.57.08 pmAlthough day 24 started and ended like many other days on the Camino de Santiago, there was one important moment that made day 24 very, very special.

On day 24 I passed the 100km milestone to Santiago.

I had officially walked 680km of my pilgrimage and the end was in sight.

By the end of the day my friends and I had made it to the town of Ventas de Naron which was 80km away from Santiago de Compostela.

We ate wonderful pilgrim meals, we drank wonderful gin and we swapped stories with other pilgrims.

Then we slept. It was only a matter of days now until we would be arriving at the end of the Camino de Santiago.

About Me

Kat Knapp

Hello there, I'm Kat Knapp. I am a 26-year old Australian currently living in New Zealand. The past decade has involved a lot of travel which has resulted in me having visited 79 countries across all 7 continents. I have lived in Iceland, The Netherlands, Japan, France, Romania and Madagascar. Here is where I have shared a number of my adventures. I have an undergraduate degree in Sociology and Journalism, and am currently completing post-graduate study in Forensic Psychology and Teaching. I have my Private Pilots license, Adventure Dive Licence and Truck license which have led to some adventures on/above and below land. I hope to use this place to reflect on some missing adventures and ponder some non-travel related parts of my life.
