After exploring Chile’s spectacular Northern Patagonia we started sailing through the 1,000-mile maze of virgin-forested islands, glistening glaciers and more fjords than in all of Scandinavia.
Think snow-capped peaks and ethereal blue glaciers, think chilly days but sunny skies. Think big because this corner of the world is bold and breathtaking.

A spectrum assortment of palafitos (wooden houses on stilts) made the Chilean city of Castro, the capital city of Chiloé Island, a colourful day (despite the grey sky looming above).
So much of the city sits precariously on stilts adding to its’ history of destruction, with three fires and three earthquakes laying waste…

Hello there, I'm Kat Knapp. I am a 26-year old Australian currently living in New Zealand. The past decade has involved a lot of travel which has resulted in me having visited 79 countries across all 7 continents. I have lived in Iceland, The Netherlands, Japan, France, Romania and Madagascar. Here is where I have shared a number of my adventures. I have an undergraduate degree in Sociology and Journalism, and am currently completing post-graduate study in Forensic Psychology and Teaching. I have my Private Pilots license, Adventure Dive Licence and Truck license which have led to some adventures on/above and below land.
