London has a whole lot of Christmas Spirit. From decked-out department stores, to multiple ice-skate rinks, the city knows how to pimp out Santa-style; but no where in the city has the same Christmas-spirit explosion as Hyde Park. Come Christmas time, this place turns is home to ‘Winter Wonderland’, which is like a decorated department store on acid.

With a huge ice rink, two circuses, a ferris wheel and ‘Magical Ice Kingdom’, this is every child’s dream (and every parents nightmare), but with themed bars for the grown-ups, everyone can have some fun.

1526899_10152094473176273_2027164188_nThe colossal Christmas-fun tribute is free to enter so you can  wander past the fairground rides, around child-friendly Santa Land (including Santa’s grotto) and browse the Christmas markets with Christmas cheers you listen to all those songs that run on painful loops over the month of December.

If you are spending Christmas in London, chances are you aren’t going to get a while Christmas, so Winter Wonderland has your romantic expectations covered. The Magical Ice Kingdom lets you get up close and personal with real ice and snow while you meet some ‘mythical frozen beasts’. Or you could get up close and personal with a mythical frozen beer in the Ice Bar, where you even get to drink from ice glasses. Much cooler.

For those who want to get above the crowds, don’t miss a ride on the 60-metre observation wheel, for the thrill-seekers try the rollercoasters. The fairground rides cater for the younger audience and the ice-skate rink is suitable for the more coordinated.

London’s Winter Wonderland has something for everyone, just mind the crowds, and the talking tree…
